A song goes through a number of stages on its journey to a finished recorded
piece on CD or tape. We take the first idea from the composer usually by listening
to a solo version of the song on keyboard or guitar.
Sometimes this piece may not have all the words.
Sometimes this piece may not have any words!
We take the main idea of the song from the person who has wrote the initial
melody and the words, we then follow where his idea is going.
We introduce new ideas into the rehearsal / discussion on melody, chords,orchestration,
sounds, tempo and percussion.We rehearse the songs as a group and record the
first rough take. A song may change many times from this initial take to the
final finished version.
